Dekker

American Singer/Songwriter Brookln Dekker, better known by his surname-moniker, Dekker, has been making waves over the last two years. His one-song-at-a-time premier album Slow Reveal: Chapter One began in August of 2019 slowly revealing itself until it was fully realised in November of 2020. Five months later, Dekker put out Small Wins, the first single from his next-album-to-be. Dekker worked prolifically on his sophomore album, I Won’t Be Your Foe, which was released in May 2022. Taking I Won’t Be Your Foe on tour saw Dekker as a trio (Stefan Wittich on drums and Andi Fins on keys/bass) playing to sold out venues all around Germany and reaching out to Switzerland, France and the Netherlands as well. Working with the same Berlin drummer, Stefan Wittich, as well as with mixing/mastering engineer Zach Hanson (Bon Iver, The Staves, Whitney) Dekker has nearly completed his third album (due out in early 2024).

It’s worth noting that Dekker grew up in the midwest of America and after 5 years of marriage to his English wife, and the other half of the pair’s indie-folk band, Rue Royale, the couple picked up and moved to the U.K. seeing them tour the European continent extensively from 2008 through 2014. With a fair bit of Radio support across Europe, this is definitely for fans of Nick Mulvey, Jose Gonzalez and Bon Iver. ♫♪♪

Support comes from

Almost Twins

Even before having released music together, Almost Twins have become an insider tip in the Leipzig and Berlin indie scene. Within a year, the Leipzig-based indie-folk band has performed at several festivals and clubs all over Germany and recorded their debut album with producer and bassist Alexander Binder (Anna Erhard, Dota, Crucchi Gang,Anna Hauss) in Berlin. Their songs play with complementary contrasts and oscillate between subtle complexity and the charming simplicity of honest lyrics. In search of sound expansion singer and guitarist Max Grüner, who first started Almost Twins as a solo project, found an almost twin-like understanding in his four bandmates through their shared closeness to music. Laurenz Welten (saxophone, clarinet), Valentin Mühlberger (Wurlitzer, synth), Raphael Schuster (drums) and Arne Imig (bass) complement Max’s songs in a way that give his emotions the necessary expression without being pathetic. Warm synth carpets and swirling Wurlitzer patterns combined with dreamy saxophone and clarinet lines create a sound that feels light without losing depth, radiating tranquility yet allowing itself to break free from it. A perfect singer-songwriter dream, reminiscent of Erlend Øye (Kings Of Convenience), José Gonzáles or This Is The Kit.

For the Dekker UK support shows, Max will perform the songs of their current album “Hands/Trees” in an intimate solo version. ♫♪♪
