Fred Lane has spent the last three years honing his sound. Taking inspiration from various synth pop/electronica bands such as Hot Chip, LCD Soundsystem, and Justice, as well as long-established artists such as the Stranglers, David Bowie, and Talking Heads, Fred has established his own style that balances synths and guitars, weaving in his honest vocals, with an aim to champion humility, ordinary moments and ordinary people.
Fred Lane’s debut single ‘My Da Vinci’ was co-produced by pop guitarist Joe Burgess alongside Fred himself and sets the tone for what is soon to be a unique first EP to look forward to in 2024. ‘My Da Vinci’ has recently reached No. 1 in the South Coast Music Chart, and 14,000 streams on Spotify.

Fred Lane is joined by Velour, a two-piece synth-pop band from Bournemouth, UK, signed to Gloom Records. The band consists of Brandon Moss (Vocals) and Joe Grist (Synth).
Since the band started in 2021, Velour have continued to grow as an artist, always creating new sounds and forever levelling up their stage presence and social media following.
With inspiration from the likes of OMD, Drab Majesty, White Lies and M83, Velour have crafted a sound unique to themselves. A gloomy aesthetic led by glistening synth melodies, power hungry vocals and contemporary bass
notes, their music evokes images of passionate romanticism, with themes of desire, addiction and longing.
Velour have a combined 6+ years of touring experience across the UK, the band have catered their live set to suit a variety of lineups and locations. Their music is cinematic, high energy and heartwarming, a blend of nostalgia and modern synth-pop, perfect for large festivals and arenas as well as local venues and clubs.
Opening the night is Abigail Bignell, a singer, songwriter and pianist from Hampshire. She released her debut single ‘Little Car’ in March 2023, followed by ‘Living in a Dream’, and has since continued to write original material. She hopes to continue recording and releasing original works, as well as collaborating with fellow artists and performing original music to live audiences.

This night has been created by Mosaix, a premier events and promotions company based in Southampton. They are dedicated to celebrating the vibrant landscape of alternative music and showcasing the best upcoming talent, from electronica and new-wave to indie and punk. Formed in 2024, Mosaix was created by passionate music business students with the goal and desire to reinvigorate live music within the grassroots music sector.
