Ben Ashurst is struggling.
Now nearly 30, he should be getting his act together, but it’s hard when the world doesn’t make any sense. What do you mean you can’t walk through a drive-thru?!
He’s going back to a simpler time, back to when three cheese straws were a pound.
This warm, light-hearted stand-up comedy show hilariously highlights the things in life that Ben thinks should be simple… but aren’t.
Whatever happens, we can laugh about it over some cheesy baked goods (vegan cheese straws available).
Ben Ashurst (as featured on BBC Radio, Stand Up For Cider Winner 2023) has quickly established himself as a rising star of the comedy circuit. His warm, likeable stage presence coupled with self-deprecating humour will definitely leave the audience wanting more.
“Ben is so likeable, warm and most importantly… Funny.” – Paul McCaffrey, Live at the Apollo
Ben will be joined by a top lineup of acts:
Dan Harding
Winner of the 2023 Hastings Comedy Festival Newcomer Award, Dan Harding is a rising star in the comedy scene, hailed by judges as “pricelessly funny” and “bound for stardom.”
With Irish roots, a childhood in Spain, and life now on the UK’s south coast, Dan brings a fresh, unique perspective to the stage, blending sharp gags with effortless charm.
Mara Mainka
Charlie Bateman MC
Charlie has never fitted in, so now he’s given up. He might know one end of an oboe from the other, but struggles to find the right farm… A regular on the south coast comedy scene as both performer and MC, Charlie is known for some great punch lines.
