Joining us for a first slot amidst our open mic madness we have the magnificent, uplifting rhythm raconteur, Brighton based Bassie Gracie!
Taking a break from touring with Beans on Toast Bassie Gracie is on tour birthing poetry from one music venue a night (metaphorically, we hope)
Bassie Gracie is a performance poet, serial bassist and mosh pit dweller. Known for her rhythmic rhyme schemes, feel good feminism and heavy bass frequencies. Most commonly found shoeless on the Monday morning of a festival telling a 70 year old man ‘punk was better in my day’.
There will be plenty of open mic slots as usual to join the joyous celebration of language, so grab your notebooks, pens and anthologies.
