RAOUL EDEN

Raoul Eden is an instrumental guitarist in the spirit of John Fahey, Robbie BashoJack Rose and Daniel Bachman. His playing is deeply influenced by oriental music, Indian râga and classical lyricism but still rooted in dark primitive psychedelic blues. He develops both repetitive and ecstatic structures, constructed and luminous melodies, and quasi-improvised free forms; All bordering on an inner journey beyond reality. His debut Album ANIMA is to find on the famous USA label Scissor Tail Records. ♫♪♪

Supporting Raoul will be:

Between folk, blues, experimental song and avant-garde poetry, Sophia Djebel Rose delivers dark and trembling luminous poetry. The arpeggios of a guitar mix with the bareness of a voice which sings of black forests and clear waters, the seasons, death, revolt and love. While it would be tempting to speak of folk to characterise her work, Sophia Djebel Rose’s music is more in the wake of free-spirited and avant-garde women who did not refrain from exploding the boundaries between styles. To name just a few: Catherine Ribeiro + Alpes, PJ Harvey, Nico or Emma Ruth Rundle. ♫♪♪
