Stereoholics are a group of 5 experienced musicians who came together through their love of the amazing band, Stereophonics.
Their passion and addiction (hence the “holics” part of the bands name) has resulted in over 22 accurately rehearsed tracks, handpicked from the vast back catalogue created by the great Kelly Jones himself.
Rob (lead vocals and guitarist) has worked hard to recreate the dulcet tones of the great Welsh front man although has always has a similar voice. Rob has been a musician since the day he picked up a guitar at the tender age of 15. He began performing in a variety of originals bands and wrote many of his own songs over the years. As these years progressed, he turned semi-professional, performing in various cover bands (current band Click) and is committed to making the Stereoholics a band that is as close to the real thing as it can possibly be.
Richard (Bass) started playing guitar at another young age of just 6 yrs old following in his dads footsteps. He played both guitar and bass in a few original bands in the 90’s, moving on to playing in several cover bands from 2002 until 2020. He has been the Faux Fighters bassist and promoter since 2008 and is committed, like Rob, to making the Stereoholics the best it can be.
Tim (drummer and brother of Tony) began playing almost by accident at the tender age of 10 when his school needed a new drummer for their brass band. Aged 19, he finally realised his childhood ambition and turned pro with South African band ‘Amersham’ when they signed a 5 album deal with BMG and had a No. 1 hit with “Matchbox”. He has since achieved a wealth of recording, live and worldwide touring experience with many artists including multi-platinum UK band ‘Feeder’.
Tony (guitarist and brother of Tim) has had a passion for the guitar and music from a young age. His father was an important person in the music industry, so Tony was never far away from the scene at a very high level. His passion for the guitar and his enthusiasm for Stereophonics music is clear in his performance.
Tracy (keyboards – and wife of Rob) began playing the piano at the tiny age of 5 years old but it was more of a hobby as her real passion was always for ice skating. However, when she met Rob she was thrown heavily into the music scene and quickly turned the hobby into a semi-professional career. She took over the keys in WMD (local Swindon band) and then formed Click (with Rob) during COVID lockdown. Her love of Stereophonics encouraged Rob to create this tribute band and her ability on the keys is absolutely the icing on the cake.
