For twenty years, Straighten Out have been tearing up stages with a blistering live recreation of the early Stranglers sound. As of 2027, the band have been together for 20 years — two decades of growling bass, snarling guitars, swirling keyboards and that unmistakable dual-vocal attack.

With an extensive two-hour set, Straighten Out rip through Stranglers classics including Peaches, Hanging Around, No More Heroes, 5 Minutes, The Raven, Walk On By, Straighten Out and Down In The Sewer, taking audiences right back to the raw, dangerous energy of the band’s early years.

Authenticity is everything. The band’s Hammond organ and Minimoog synth recreate the distinctive keyboard sound of Dave Greenfield, while the growling bass and quirky guitar riffs provide the foundations for a full-throttle Stranglers experience.

Born from a shared obsession with The Stranglers, bassist Shaggy and keyboard player Mick ‘The Doc’ continued their musical journey after Four More Heroes, joined by Jet ‘Beets’ on drums and Phil on guitar. Together, they form a fearsome four-piece dedicated to keeping the music loud, live and uncompromising.
