Lead vocalist Freeborn and songwriter Woodburn explore a blend of folk, blues, funk and pop genres, always searching for where the playful and the ethereal meet. Multi instrumentalists Height and Seddon add to the sonic mix their mastery of folk styles and grooves from around the world.

Regulars on BBC introducing,  RTÉ Radio 1 (Lilian Smith) and Amazing Radio the band have been live in session on Radio X with John Kennedy. Wake the River has enjoyed prominent live venues including The Bedford in London and the Eden Project, Falmouth’s internationally renowned  Cornish Bank and in summer 2025 graced the main stage of Cornwall Folk Festival.

Washed Out Parade

Washed Out Parade are a roots collective, formed on the UK festival circuit, and based in Hampshire. They specialise in heart wrenching and foot stomping originals, written by their lead guard of singer and guitarist Jon Sharps and singer and keys player Ri Baroche. The name ‘parade’ really comes into force at their live gigs, where a multitude of musical combinations could occur, and an always eclectic and electric sound guaranteed. Their debut album, Ragged Mile, was released on 7th April 2025. With 15 musicians under their banner on the record, the album’s release was celebrated with a packed out show in Southampton the day before. They’re currently working on their second work of all original material, due for release in 2026.

Florrie Ransom

22 year old singer/songwriter, Florrie Ransom, composes, performs and produces her entire discography herself. Drawing influence from Bon Iver, Ben Howard, Noah Kahan, Janis Ian and Laura Marling, Florrie combines traditional folk with modern, alternative elements to create a unique and compelling sound. Her intimate live performance style has captivated audiences across the south. With soulful vocals and powerful lyricism, Florrie Ransom orchestrates a haunting and emotive performance.
