SLACKRR are easily one of the most talked-about bands to have emerged from the UK underground scene in recent years. Hailing from Southampton, the band has only been active for just 6 years and in that time, they have taken some giant leaps forward in becoming a well-known and widely-loved name across the UK alternative music scene growing a dedicated fan base as well as support from global companies from Fender, Ernie Ball, EVH, Blackstar, and Charvel. As of early 2024 the band have signed with SBAM records with an upcoming release in the works.

The band formed in early 2018 and shortly after that SLACKRR’s debut single ‘Closest to Perfect’ was first aired on BBC Introducing in 2018, which was a huge catalyst for the SLACKRR and since then the band have toured endlessly around the UK, USA and Europe, playing over 600 shows and festivals in this short space of time with positive feedback coming out their ears.

In August 2023, the band released their highly anticipated third album ‘Set The Night On Fire.’ The album received an overwhelmingly positive reaction, in 2024 the final single off the album ‘Ebb & Flow’ was played multiple times for 4 weeks on a variety of BBC radio shows and stations including BBC Radio One, BBC Introducing and BBC South and West, and also receiving Kerrang! Radio airplay.

The third single from the album, ‘This Time’ released 21st July, and premiered by BBC Radio One on the Future Alternative show with Nels Hylton. The previous singles ‘Holding On’ and ‘Lie To Me’ both gained global coverage from the likes of Kerrang! Radio, BBC Radio Kent, Idobi Radio, Primordial Radio, Devolution Magazine, New Noise Magazine and many more, as well as gaining over 60k views on YouTube within the first 24 hours of release.
