Bandfest returns to The Railway’s stage celebrating the bands that are coming out of The University of Winchester – grab a ticket and settle in for a night of exciting new live acts!

Cheap Faith

Cheap Faith are a four-piece band formed in Winchester at the beginning of 2024 and have played many gigs around Hampshire. With influences from Weezer, The Warning and Fleshwater, the band packs in a unique indie grunge sound that you will never forget!

Amarga

Winchester based alt-rock band Amarga blends dreamy textural atmospheres, influenced by the likes of Duster and Slowdrive, with the emotional and powerful choruses of 90’s grunge & alternative rock.

Prom Night

Prom Night are a 6-piece indie pop rock band from Winchester, infleicned by Beabadoobee and the Arctic Monkeys. Their favourite venue to perform in is the Railway Inn and they can’t wait to be back again for Bandfest! They are also currently working on their first original music which they can’t wait to share with everyone soon!

The Jazz Collective

Part of the Music Centre at the University of Winchester, The Jazz Collective is a groups of students, staff, alumni and members of the local community who meet during term time to make amazing Jazz. Drawing from all jazz traditions, it provides a platform to explore improvisation, jazz classics and more contemporary sounds.

Songwriters Circle

Meeting once a fortnight, the University of Winchester Songwriters Circle is a group of students, staff and local community members who support each other in their song writing through mutual sharing of their music once a fortnight. At Bandfest, a few of it’s members will present their own original song. Expect innovation and fantastic new music.

All proceeds go towards supporting The Railway Inn’s crowdfunder.
